Privacy Policy & House Rules
We believe the web should be fun AND safe. Here's how we handle privacy on our little corner of the internet. What We Collect: Almost Nothing! This website is built with HTML, CSS, and a sprinkle of JavaScript (for that authentic 90s experience!). We use:
Our Privacy ChoicesWhy Nicknames? You'll notice we use fun nicknames instead of real names throughout this site. That's intentional! We love sharing our life online, but we also value our privacy. Using nicknames lets us:
Why "Switzerland"?We mention we're in Switzerland because we're proud of where we live, but we never get more specific than that. No city names, no neighborhood details, no "look at this local landmark" photos that could pinpoint our location. Why No Face Photos? Our photo galleries focus on projects, food, and scenery - not portraits. This is a conscious choice to share our experiences while maintaining privacy. The internet is forever, after all!
Guestbook & ContactHow the Guestbook WorksSince this is a static site, we don't have an automatic form. If you want to leave a message and you know us personally, reach out through your usual channels. We'll manually add appropriate messages to the guestbook page. What we'll post: Your name/nickname, general location (optional), and your message. What we won't post: Personal information, contact details, links to commercial sites, or anything that doesn't follow our house rules.
House RulesBe Cool, Internet Friends! This is our digital home. Please:
External LinksWhen You Leave Our SiteOur Links page contains links to other websites. When you click those links, you leave our site and we can't control what happens there. External sites have their own privacy policies (or lack thereof). All external links open in new tabs and include rel="noopener" for security.
Downloads & ContentUsing Our StuffEverything we share in the Downloads section is free for personal use. We retain the rights to our creations, but we're happy for you to enjoy them! Just don't sell our stuff or claim you made it.
Policy UpdatesIf we ever change this policy (unlikely - it's pretty simple!), we'll note it on our Updates page. Last updated: January 2026 |
